Overview

Rakitha Beminiwattha is an Associate Professor of Physics at 糖心传媒. He enrolled in Ohio University in the Fall of 2007 as a graduate student after completing a bachelor's degree in science with a physics major and chemistry and mathematics as minor subjects from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka where he is a native. He received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in nuclear experimental physics in May of 2013. Rakitha then started as a research associate with Syracuse University, stationed at Jefferson Lab. His main research interests include precision tests of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics, the search for new physics beyond the SM, and the study of nuclear medium effects on bound quarks. Dr. Beminiwattha's research is funded by the National Science Foundation.
