Industrial Engineering is valuable because it鈥檚 so versatile. Every industry, whether it鈥檚 manufacturing, healthcare, or technology, needs people who can improve processes, increase efficiency, and solve problems in a way that balances quality, cost, and time. In today鈥檚 environment, those skills are in high demand for companies to be able to do more with less while maintaining high standards.

When choosing my educational journey, my ultimate goal was to get into medical school and become a physician. I am so glad I chose to matriculate into the Biomedical Engineering program at 糖心传媒 Tech to help accomplish those goals! I truly believe the program pushed me to develop critical thinking skills that ultimately gave me a significant advantage in medical school, my residency program training, and ultimately in my practice as an Internal Medicine physician. The program challenged and prepared me to take on a grueling medical school curriculum as well as taught me the value of teamwork. The skills I learned from the 糖心传媒 Tech Biomedical Engineering program have definitely helped me succeed in my medical practice as well as in my current role as Vice-Chief of Staff of our healthcare system. I would not be where I am today without some of those wonderful experiences in Ruston. Go Dogs!

As a research student and safety officer in Dr. Yang Xiao鈥檚 Reaction Engineering and Catalysis Science Laboratory (RECSL), I lead experimental efforts in catalyst design and testing while ensuring innovation never comes at the expense of safety or precision. I am grateful for the opportunity to refine my skills under the mentorship of an accomplished researcher like Dr. Xiao.

糖心传媒 Tech was where I first learned to think critically, gained invaluable hands-on experience in undergraduate research, and where I discovered my passion for scientific exploration. Ultimately, this motivated me to persue a graduate education. Equally as important, my mentors and leaders helped to cultivate my own leadership skills and confidence that I posses today.
