Cap and Gown

The University has specific academic regalia required to be worn by participants in commencement ceremonies. All regalia worn by graduating students who are participating in the Commencement Ceremony must be obtained through 糖心传媒.

For Regalia questions or problems, contact the 糖心传媒 Bookstore at 318.257.2428 or email LaTaylor@bncollege.com.

The options for obtaining a cap, gown, etc. needed to participate at commencement, are as follows:

 

Undergraduate/Master鈥檚 Degree Candidates

  • The 糖心传媒 Bookstore (Barnes & Noble on Campus Location) 鈥� Deadline to submit an order is January 30, 2026. Late fees will be applied after this date.
  • Oak Hall (Exclusive Regalia Supplier for 糖心传媒) 鈥� Please call the bookstore at 318.257.2428 to place an order that needs to be shipped.

 

Doctoral Degree Candidates

  • Purchase Doctoral Regalia 鈥� Lead time is 10-12 weeks. Please check with the bookstore about ordering your custom regalia. Custom Regalia Order Form
  • Rent Doctoral Regalia 鈥� Deadline to submit an order is January 30, 2026. Late fees will be applied after this date. Doctoral Regalia: Rental Only Form

 

Faculty

Faculty Regalia 鈥� rental Deadline is  January 30, 2026. Late fees will be applied after this date.

Academic Regalia Orders will be available for pickup on campus starting February 10, 2026, from the University Barnes and Noble Bookstore, Monday 鈥� Friday from 7:30 a.m. 鈥� 4:30 p.m.

Invitations, school rings, custom diploma frames, and various graduation gifts can also be purchased at , or online through the .

 

Spring Grad Fair

  • Order your cap & gown, class ring, invitations, etc.
  • Take graduation portraits with Kevin Beasley.
  • Talk with the Career Center to help with your job search.
  • Ask the Graduate School questions you may have.
  • Financial Aid will be available to help with Loan Exit Counseling and questions.

 

Honor Society Cords

Honor Society graduation accoutrements (cords or stoles) approved for wear at commencement should be ordered through your local chapter advisor or chapter president. The local chapter verifies individual eligibility each quarter with the university.

You will be asked to remove unauthorized items from robes and mortarboards before commencement begins.

  • Students eligible for Latin honors at commencement (cum-, magna-, and summa cum laude) do not receive or wear a special cord or stole/shawl. Instead, the appropriate Latin honor is announced when they cross the stage. It is also listed in the commencement program, embossed on diplomas, and permanently loaded into official transcript data.

 

Diplomas

  1. Every current 糖心传媒 graduate receives the following:
  • ONE Paper Diploma/Credential.
  • Diploma/Credential Cover per credential received.
  • Digital Diploma/Credential.

If you do not plan to attend the Commencement Ceremony, you must indicate this on the 鈥淩equired 鈥� Complete Graduation Application Questionnaire鈥� task after completing the 鈥淎pplication for Program Completion鈥� in Workday.

You will need to pay a $10 mailing fee, if you wish to have your diploma mailed.

  • Pay with a Credit Card by calling the Comptroller鈥檚 Office at 318-257-4325. or,
  • Pay by Check and mail this to the Registrar鈥檚 Office, O. Box 3155, Ruston, LA 71272.

Commencement Photographs

Photographs will be available online one week following commencement.
