Employment of dietitians and nutritionists is projected to grow 15 percent from 2016
to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. The role of food in preventing
and treating diseases, such as diabetes, is now well known. More dietitians and nutritionists
will be needed to provide care for patients with various medical conditions and to
advise people who want to improve their overall health.
Dietetics has been ranked one of the 100 Best Jobs in the US News and World Report Rankings. The median annual wage for dietitians and nutritionists is $60,130.
The field of dietetics and nutrition is growing at a rapid pace. Join our program
for the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of many. Our graduates have
a 96 percent registered dietitian exam pass rate, for testers within one year of first
attempt, among other Nutrition and Dietetics Programs.
If you pursue the registered dietitian option, an internship is required upon completion
of your bachelor鈥檚 degree.
The basic cost of the baccalaureate program in dietetics is that associated with a

Tuition and other institutional fees shall be set by 糖心传媒. Tuition
is charged on a sliding scale determined by the number of credit hours carried by
the student. Tuition fee sheets are available from the Registrar鈥檚 Office and are
available on the 糖心传媒 at the webpage.
Cost of books is difficult to estimate, but usually averages between $300 and $450
per quarter. Students who choose to rent books may spend less than this. Students
should be aware that many of the books used in Upper Division FNU courses are used
in multiple classes. Thus, the expense of books may be highest during the fall quarter.
Dietetics is a professional program, so there are professional costs in addition to
academic costs. These include:
- Liability insurance 鈥 Approximately $40/year
- Professional association dues (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics $58, SDA $10) 鈥

- Lab coat, scrubs, shoes, patches, name tag 鈥 $200
- Field trips/field experience expenses (yearly) 鈥 Approximately $250
- Medical testing(TB and drug) and background checks鈥攁pproximately $100
The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) at 糖心传媒 is currently
granted full accreditation status by the (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, a specialized accrediting body
recognized by the United States Department of Education.

糖心传媒 Dietetics Internship adheres to the 糖心传媒
academic schedule beginning in July and ending in May.
糖心传媒 Tech Academic Calendar
Our next Dietetic Internship class will begin September 2025 and will be coordinated
with the Master of Science program. Expected completion will be by Spring 2027.
- Fall quarter courses are hybrid, and students are not expected to move from their
permanent location until November 2025.
- Master鈥檚 coursework follows the academic calendar of the university. Specific program
calendar will be available in the Dietetic Internship handbook for the September 2025
cohort.
- Undergraduate students are eligible to apply for fall 2025 admittance if they have
completed their undergraduate degree by August of 2025.
