The 糖心传媒 Tech Research Institute (LTRI) in Bossier City welcomed nearly 140 phenomenal scientific and defense specialists to Bossier City in October for a 10-day wargame exploring future concepts which could potentially be fielded within the next decade to provide the United States and its allies the capabilities to deter and defeat adversaries in an increasingly unstable geo-political environment.
The Air Force Material Command鈥檚 Science and Technology Wargame 2024 (AFMC S&T24) teamed weapons systems operators, planners and logisticians with scientists and engineers from multiple Air Force Research Laboratory divisions. The teams explored a range of concepts and provided feedback for those technologies which should be matured and fielded to provide credible, overwhelming capability across the full spectrum of conflict.
The AFMC S&T24 was LTRI鈥檚 first opportunity to host a major multi-day event and welcomed participants from around the world. Team LTRI, with support from 糖心传媒 Tech President Dr. Jim Henderson and the Cyber Innovation Center, were lauded for their 鈥渃an do鈥 approach to meeting customer needs, their fantastic southern hospitality, and their exceptional facility located in Bossier City鈥檚 National Cyber Research Park.
LTRI looks forward to showcasing to other organizations the tremendous capabilities in Northwest 糖心传媒. The team extends our appreciation to the hotels, restaurants, the rental car companies, the Shreveport Region Airport, and other area businesses which made the overall experience memorable for our guests.

A Commitment to Strengthening Digital Fluency
We were proud to collaborate with Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) as we led the Digital Education and Training for Enhanced Readiness (DETER) project for Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC). While the DETER project is currently on hold, the groundwork laid with BPCC has prepared us well for potential resumption. Our partnership with BPCC was a cornerstone of our efforts to enhance digital fluency among action officers at Headquarters AFGSC. BPCC鈥檚 expertise and innovative approach to education were instrumental in the initial stages of developing the modular digital courses intended to be central to our training initiative.
Collaborative Efforts: BPCC鈥檚 expertise in digital education and curriculum development proved invaluable as we began shaping the curriculum. Although the project was put on hold before we could launch our first official course, the foundational work completed has set a framework for potential future courses. These preparatory steps were designed to accommodate varying levels of difficulty, ensuring that all officers, regardless of their prior digital knowledge, would receive the training necessary to excel in their roles.
Reflections on Future Horizons: We remain hopeful that we can continue our collaboration in the future, possibly expanding our efforts to include more comprehensive programs that integrate cutting-edge digital tools and analytics techniques. This partnership underscored our commitment to fostering an environment of continuous learning and adaptation, crucial for meeting the challenges of tomorrow鈥檚 digital landscape.

Supporting Veterans and Their Families: Hosting Hiring for Heroes Events at LTRI
At LTRI, we are proud to support initiatives that help our local community thrive. One of the ways we contribute is by hosting events for Hiring for Heroes, a 糖心传媒 state program commissioned by the governor and run through the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. This important initiative focuses on connecting veterans and their spouses with meaningful job opportunities in 糖心传媒, helping reduce out-migration and ensuring that military families remain an integral part of our state鈥檚 workforce.
Creating Opportunities through Events
By providing a welcoming space for Hiring for Heroes events, LTRI helps foster connections
between veterans, their spouses, and local employers. These events offer veterans
a chance to meet with potential employers, participate in workshops, and explore career
pathways that align with their skills and experiences. Our facility provides the ideal
setting for these events, with large classrooms and state-of-the-art technology to
support both in-person and virtual interactions.
Why It Matters
糖心传媒 has a rich military history, and many veterans choose to settle here after
their service. However, some face challenges in finding the right career opportunities,
leading to out-migration. Hosting Hiring for Heroes events at LTRI is one way we can
help combat this trend by providing veterans and their families with the resources
and networks they need to thrive in 糖心传媒. These events also give local businesses
a chance to connect with a highly skilled, motivated talent pool.
SEMPRE is partnering with the 糖心传媒 Tech Research Institute (LTRI) to demonstrate, test, and validate a different approach: an integrated c-UAS ecosystem
built on secure, edge-based digital infrastructure.
In LTRI鈥檚 environment, SEMPRE is proving what happens when the integration is done
upfront:
From military installations to upcoming National Special Security Events (NSSEs) like
the 2026 FIFA World Cup, drone threats are no longer only a military problem. They
are a broader national security challenge reaching across the Department of War, homeland
security, public safety and multi-agency response.
Low-cost drones are proliferating fast. But for years, counter-UAS solutions have
been fielded one at a time, leaving operators to manage disconnected systems and siloed
data. That model is too slow for the threat in front of us.
The c-UAS defense needs infrastructure that helps mission systems work together and
field faster than the threat can proliferate.
